It was an okay apartment, good refrigerator, furnished primarily in shades of blue that set off the overstuffed brown leather sofa nicely. Didn't look all that lived-in, but sheets were clean, very little dust.. All in all, a standard place.

You know, except for the three mutants materializing in the living room. "Here we go, Jubie. Let's get you some rest."

"Nuh hu. I am not sleeping." Came the sudden protest from Jubilee. "That is how she got me the first time."

Jono did hold on to Jubilee's hand before teleporting. He squeezed it now, trying to look confident for her. You really think she's dumb enough to try it 'gain, Jubes? With me an' Bishop 'ere?

She gets a light huggysqueeze and a nod of assent from Bishop, too. "You kicked her ass once, girl. You got people with you now, on a whole different plane of existence that she prob'ly doesn't even KNOW of, an' if necessary, I can always turn on this place's psychic baffle screen. You're safe here, Jubilee.. And you should know it."

He's not sure how Jono'd react to the last, but after working with (and against) telepaths for so long? Bet your ass that's guarded against in anyplace he hangs his hat!

"I just don't know. She forced me into my worst memories before. And I am scared... to go to sleep... alone." The last part was mumbled so quietly that they might have missed it.

"Can't we just play cards or something?" Because no way was she going to impose on either one right now.

He's already been cuddled. Jono could probably play teddy bear. (Or Hello Kitty!, but we don't have the right LOL for that.)

'Sokay, Jubilee. Told you that we ain't leavin' you alone roight now. Hey, he doesn't need good hearing. He can hear her thoughts! Mostly.

Mention of the psychic scrambler gets a roll of Jono's eyes, then, Long as I've got a notebook or somethin', I'll be fine. Which means if they need it on, he'll handle it. Unless it starts causing pain, then he'll...probably glare a lot. Card's work, though I'm afraid to find out what sorta tricks Bishop knows.

They've been down that road before; Bishop would have no problem staying as long as he was needed. It's just how he rolled.

"No doubt. You can rest with us on watch.. An' just remember, I did spend a fair amount of time workin' with the Cajun. You sure about them cards?"

To the best of his knowledge, the baffles were designed to distort and redirect telepathic waves directed into the apartment from outside, but he didn't have a damn clue what would happen to a telepath INSIDE the apartment at the time. It's not a common practice for him!

"Can you... sort of share dreams Jono?" Jubilee shyly asks. "Or would that be too awkward?"

Jono tilts his head a bit, thinking about it. Can't say as I've ever tried it, but can't think it'd be too 'ard. 'Specially if I ain't asleep at the time. Because he doesn't sleep as much as other people do.

He reached out, brushing Jubilee's hair back from her face. You want I should keep the nightmares away, then?

Jono rolls his eyes, trying hard to look put upon, but he still mostly looks worried as he nods. Awroight, pet. I can keep 'em away. Though if you wanna play cards first, 'at's fine. Jus' make sure it ain't fer real money. Gambit's gotten enough of me dosh.

"We could play for no particular reason then." Jubilee gives a smile. Feeling a little better now.

He'd been pretty quiet for the last few moments; really, what did he have to contribute about dream control? But now we're on a subject he could work with.

"Fine, M&M's it is." He mock-sighed, grabbing a pack of cards and a bag of the sweet stuff from the kitchen. You know, right after he carefully lay Jubilee down on the couch. Have to keep your priorities!

"So." Cards are out of the box and being shuffled with some formidable dexterity; looks like Bishop wasn't lying! "What game you up for?"

"Idiot Rummy. Because well..." smirk. Looks like Jubilee is getting her sense of humor back.

Jono looks at the cards dubiously. Sure. M&Ms are fine. Jubilee could have whatever ones he managed to win. Though given the way that Bishop was shuffling, he's thinking it won't be many.

Jubilee sorts the M&M into three equal piles (er okay not so equal because she steals one each from the Jono and Bishop pile to put into her mouth). Then hands out the 'betting money' as Bishop deals.

Her mind is still racing. Trying to figure out what is real and what is not her memories. Eris used some real memories to get Jubilee and some of those are still right there, on the surface. Such as being crucified and losing Angelo, losing her parents and the recent no-idea-where-he-went dumping by young Logan. And then there are Eris's memories, the torturing of Deliah and the killing of Faye.

Everything Jubilee is trying not to have too much on the surface (for Jono's sake) but is still bothered by it all. "I miss being held." She suddenly announces, more to herself than anyone else.

He's SO stealing one right back. "Okay, goofball; right now's your shamelessly-pampered time, may as well milk it for all it's worth.." He starts dealing, right up until she drops her statement.

Then he pauses, puts down the cards, looks at Jono, looks at her. And then at Jono again. Well, I SAID it was her shamelessly-pampered time.. He's consciously pushing that thought out nice and hard, which gives it a better-than-even chance of being heard if his experience is right. The fact that he's got a strong tinge of 'Be sure and join in, mkay?' to it is just a side effect...

And then Jubie's got a couple beefy arms wrapped tight around her. And Bishop ain't saying a word.

They're probably going to be sharing Jono's M&Ms, after all, so he's not at all fussed about the anybody stealing his. Unless it causes a problem, later, with not being having enough to bet later.

He's a bit surprised at hearing one of Bishop's thoughts, cutting a glance to the larger man, then back to Jubilee. And obviously, Bishop doesn't know how hard it is to 'join in' on a hug when the other guy doing the hugging is huge. Still, Jono does his best, moving over and working his way into the hug as best he can.

Awww Jubilee has the best friends sometimes. And the hugs are really appreciated. And before she knows it, she is crying somewhere in there, hugged by her two friends. Letting out all the upsetness about her experience. Until she just can't cry no more. And shakes slightly and then laughs.

"Okay. Okay. Thank you. I think that helped."

Hey, he left room! There's like six inches here.. and maybe eight there! LOTS of room. Still, the more the merrier Jubilee. That's the main part.

There's a little bit of squeezing when she starts to cry; that's something always unsettling about crying girls! Still, only a little bit. Don't squish the female.

"Always, Jubie. We got your back." Nnnnope, hasn't stopped yet.

Jono took over petting Jubilee's hair while she was crying, not trying to calm it any. After what she just went through, she probably needs a good cry.

His eyes turn upwards a bit when she calms on her own, into his version of a smile. Yeah, sunshine. We've got yer back. Always will.

Jubilee rubs her face, giving another real smile to Bishop and Jono. "It is... just how she got to me."

Okay, okay, FINE he's letting go. Cups her chin a little to take a good, detailed look at how she's doing, though. "While you were asleep? Or is this the whole 'feeling all the crap she wanted you to feel' kind of thing?"

He's trying to clarify, the better to figure out how to deal with it.. although again, why he's trying with a telepath right there is apparently just another exercise in stubbornness.

"She used her powers to drain me. Then when I was alseep, she forced out my worst memories." Jubilee fiddled with her fingers, not looking up. "I basically went through everything bad that happened to me all over again."

"Then she reminded me how fucked up my love life has been and... took control of me. And even though she is gone... some of her memories are here."

Can see why it'd bother you. Jono sits again, though he stays near Jubilee. 'Least you know you ain't alone in the 'fucked up love life'. Pretty sure none of us've managed it. Not really. And by 'us', he means the X-Men in general.

Still, he nodded slowly. You let me know if I can do somethin' to deal with those for you. Like I said, can't take 'em away, but I can make it so you don' come across 'em.

"Everyone I care for in a romantic sense leaves me." Jubilee shrugs, like she has accepted this.

"Maybe blcok them for tonight so I can sleep. A permanent block would not be healthy."

Yeah, he's wincing at that. Blockers are definitely up, he don't want Jono hearing what he's thinking right now! "You really are being too hard on yourself. Still, ready to play?" Y'all are in for a WORLD of card wizardry, folks.
